Nakatulala si Destinee, walang pakialam sa mundo. May hanging na dumaan sa kanyang mukha ng bigla syang nagising sakanya panaginip. Tinignan nya ang kanyang alarm clock. 

Destinee: Hay ano ba yan.. Alas seis palang pala eh! (kinamot nya ang kanyang ulo at tumayo na nag punta na sya sa banyo para humanda sa first day of school in high school. )

Sobrang excited si Destinee since nung gabi pa. Everything is perfect on her first day. Everything is planned, madami din syang kakilalang seniors from her Ate’s barkada. Destinee is 13 years old, her hometown was in Philippines pero 3 years ago she and her Ate leave Philippines for better study. They never really forgot theyre language, tagalog sila sa house and for some ocassional pinoy parties. Pagkatapos maligo ni Destinee hinug nya ang Mommy nya from behind 

Destinee: MOMMY! ambango ko na ba!?

Vanessa (her mom): Aba! excited na excited tlga tong anak ko ah! tignan ko nga uniform mo!

Destinee: (umiikot parang model para pakita yung uniform nya) bagay ba Ma?

Vanessa: bagay na bagay! (thumbs up) Gisingin mo na si Ate Gaby mo.

Destinee: OK! (tumakbo sa taas dun sa kwarto ng Ate nya) 

Si Gaby or Gabrylle for short ang ate ni Destinee super close sila never silang nag away pero minsan konting tampohan pero bati kaagad. Best Friends sila alam lahat ng detalye sa isa’t isa mula sa crush to love. Lalo na si Destinee maraming alam sa ate nya. Pero never nya itong na spill to anyone. 

Destinee: (tumalon sa kama ni Gaby) (binulong sa tenga: Ate time to wake-up time to see Max) 

Gaby: (napa-tuwa) 

Eto lagi ang pang-gising ni Destinee sakanya. Si Max ang crush ni Gaby at eto din ang pangalan ng kanyang yakap-yakap na teddy bear

Gaby: (binato ng unan) ano ka ba! excited ka naman makita si Albie mo eh! 

Destinee: Hinde no! syempre excited ako kase same school na tayo! atsaka ng best friend ko!

Gaby: (tumayo na, nag punta sa toilet pero hinde sinara masyado ang pinto para makapag usap sila) Ay nako, binobola mo pa ko! hinde na yan talab sakin, wala ka bang bago?

Destinee: Ate naman eh! Hinde ko namang crush yung Albie na yun. Nakaka-sira nga ng araw yun.

Gaby: haaaay iba talaga ang inlove! 

Destinee: (tumawa) pustahan tayo. Hinde ko nga gusto yung unggoy na yun!

Gaby: weeh? nag jo-joke ka ba? hinde mabenta!

Destinee: hay nako! (nag-punta sa may make-up table ni Gaby tumingin sa salamin) ATE! pano ba to’ gamitin? tong eyeliner atsaka mascara?

Gaby: (lumabas na tapos ng mag-shower pero naka twalya paren) kitams! nagpapaganda pa oh! Des okay lang yan. Gaganda ka ren katulad ko… 

Destinee: (tumawa ulet) wag na nga. kulutin mo nalng buhok ko, usapan kasi namin ni Ree mag kulot kami sa first day

Gaby: sige ba! 

Vanessa: (from downstairs) GABY! DES! ALMUSAL NA!

Destinee: bilisan mo teh kukulutin mo pa ko tara na! 

Gaby: ou sige mag uniform lang ako! mauna ka na.

Destinee: (bumaba na) 

habang kumakain nag-tatawanan silang mag-iina. Pagkatapos kumain kunilot ni Gaby si Destinee, mas lalo syang gumanda.

(asa school na habang naglalakad papunta sa gate)

Destinee: Ate ayun na si Max oh! (tinuro) 

Gaby: huy! wag ka ngang magturo dyan! hinde ka naman teacher! (tumawa)

Destinee: ang co-corny naman ng jokes mo! tignan mo nga ikaw lang yung tumatawa! 

nakasalubong nila si Desiree best friend ni Destinee. 

Desiree: DES!!

Destinee: UY! REE!

Gaby: hey Ree!

Desiree: Hey ate Rylle! 

Destinee: iba den yung trip nyo no! Rylle ka dyan! Ariel yung detergent?

Desiree: Des naman! walang basagan ng trip dito!

Gaby: onga! Kayo nga para kayong mga tanga mag best friend ba naman, tapos ang pangalan nyo Destinee and Desiree kaya nga nalilito mga tao sainyo! 

Destinee: Ate kakasabi nyo palang ah, trip trip lang to!

nakasalubong din nila ang best friend ni Gaby. Si Lorraine pero Raine ang tawag sakanya

Gaby: (hinug) RAIIINNEEEYY!

Raine: (hugs) RYLEEEEYY!

Destinee: ay? one year di nag kita? nag sleep over palang tayo nung friday ah.

Raine: (na-tawa) ikaw talaga napaka taklesa mo!

Desiree: uy! Des si Albie oh!

Destinee: ano ngayon? pakialam ko dyan.

Gaby: ay playing hard to get ka teh?

Destinee: hinde no. 

Raine: yiee. kinikilig na ko Des! 

Destinee: Ate Raine, hinde ko yan gusto 

Gaby: hay nako. Kabataan nga naman! sige alis na kame ni Raine punta na kame sa tropa. Basta kayong dalawa walang iwanan ah. Pag-nawala kayo punta kayo sa dzbb manawagan kayo.

tawanan silang lahat. Umalis na si Gaby and Raine. 

Desiree: Des, papunta dito si Albie..

Destinee: ay nako,umagang umaga my nightmare starts nanaman! 

Albie: Hi miss masungit! kumusta summer holidays?

Destinee: Pwede ba! first day of school to oh! maawa ka naman, sira na agad araw ko oh. ayan wala na uulan na nyan

Albie: (tumingin sa sky) OA mo naman, ang araw oh. Sakit mong magsalita!

Destinee: ay ganon? edi wag mo kong kausapin!

Albie: eh pano yan? mag-kaklase tayo sa halos ng subject mag-katabi pa. hinde mo ba nakita yung seating plan na mail kahapon? (naka-ngiti)

Destinee: (pinipigilan yung galit) HAAAAY! (nag-walkout) 

Desiree: (sumunod)

Albie: (tumatawa) 

Destinee: isa nalang talaga ah! mapupuno na ko jan sa Albie na yan! 

Desiree: Ang cute nga nya eh 

Destinee: oh my god! CUTE!? san banda? 

Nicole and Simran showed Ella around the house. “So if you wanna know more like on the random times just call out the window. My window is always open! Since your sharing room with Nicole…” Simran said 

Ella nod in response. They walked out Nicole’s room. 

“Oh I have an idea! let’s go show you around the neighborhood! You’re going to love the people here. They’re really friendly…” Nicole wandered as they walked downstairs. “Cheska were going out!Were going to show Ella around the neighborhood!” Nicole yelled at the door. 

“Just make sure to be back at 7 pm sharp!” Cheska yelled back at the lounge doing some of her assignments from work. 

“Kay.” Nicole quickly replied. 

“So this is like a private street like first class base on planes?” Ella wondered

“Well, we call it subdivision and yes it’s like first class trip. Everybody here like get along..” Nicole answered.

“Like that’s true, here goes argument…” Simran said and giggle. 

Nicole groaned. “Well atleast almost everyone.” 

Ella got confuse but caught up when she saw how Nicole look at the boy they’re going to walk pass. 

“hey ladies!” the boy greeted and stopped walking. “who’s she?” he asked as he played with the football he’s holding. 

“Hey, Sammy!” Simran greeted back with much enthusiastic

“sup Simmy?!” he asked.

“just walking around this is Ella our new friend.” Simran said.

“Hello there” he waved at Ella “never seen you before… you new to the subdivision?” he asked curious. 

“hi” Ella replied with a really soft voice. “and uhm I think so…” 

“uggghh! it’s a long story! Simran shall we go? he’s not actually the only person in here.” Nicole complained. 

“easy Nicole! I didnt even saw you there. You’ve been so quiet… I didnt notice you.” Sam teased. 

“Dont you start with me Samuel.” Nicole grabbed Simran and Ella’s hand and walked away. 

“keep yourself safe from Nicole Ella!” yelled as he watched theme walking away. 

Simran and Ella laughed. “and that is why you dont talk to strangers” Nicole said 

“I dont know he seems nice…” Ella replied.

“Dear, Nicole and Sam are mortal enemy. They both love teasing each other.” “Nicole hated Sam since they met. But trust me hun they both like each other they’re just ‘too afraid’” Simran explained. After that very sentence Nicole elbowed Simran.

They went to the park and encountered some friends from the school and introduced Ella to everyone who they see around. Ella realize the place seem to be USA the style of the houses and how people use words. It’s like little US in Britain. 

Nikki’s sister was cooking lunch when they arrived at the house. “do I smell a very yummy delicious lunch cooked by the world’s greatest sister ever!?” Nikki yelled as she walk to the kitchen. “Nikki, I know that ton of speaking! What did you do now? did you catch Sofia? If your gonna ask if Sofia can stay here yes she can.” Nikki’s sister said; whose name is Cheska. “Well, it’s not exactly like that…” Nikki said with her squeaky voice. Cheska faced Nikki and crossed her arms “squeaky voice? what trouble did you bring now!?” Nikki slowly step back a bit… “we saw this girl at the airport, her name is Ella. And she really had a terrible life story and…I invited her to stay here for a bit?” Nikki said really fast. “WHAT!? you brought a stranger you barely know!?” Cheska shouted shocked. Nikki burst out laughing. “stranger barely know!?” “isn’t that’s why we called it a stranger?” Nikki pointed out still laughing. “Nicole Marie Anderson! you brought a stranger at home and your laughing on my grammar mistakes!?” Cheska said setting off the warning. “im sorry! but I cant help it!” Nikki apologize. 

After a few minutes Cheska made a decision “okay..we are gonna let her stay for a bit… we’ll see how it goes then…” Nikki rushes off to the lounge and get Ella with Simran. “Ella this is my sister Francheska Gabriel Anderson, Cheska this is our new friend Elisha Taylor Robinson” Nikki said introducing both of them. “And i’am Simran Alison Sunner im gonna be the next door neighbor!” Simran entering the conversation trying to be funny… 

“this is what really happened to us…” Simran started the story “we were running after our other friend Sofia… We never really knew she’s going to Paris an-” “ohh thats okay she’s gonna come back right?” Ella asked interrupting Simran. Nikki shook her head. “She’s leaving for good…” Simran continued.  Ella sat next to Simran and rub her back “im sure she’s gonna come back. I mean not that I know her but theres a reason behind all of these right?” Ella said. The two girls smiled at the same to Ella. “So wanna stay at my house? im sure I can convince my sister to let you live with us.” Nikki offered. “yeah! her sister is really nice.” Simran added. “how about your mom?” Ella asked curiously. Nikki looked down “my parents died, three years ago. It’s a car accident. Im the only one who survived.” after the very sentence a tear rolled down her cheek. “Oh im really sorry…” Ella said. 

There was the awkward silence while they’re walking out the airport… “I need to go to the toilet anyone wanna come?” Simran said breaking the silence “Yeah ill go with you!” Ella replied. “Nikki are you coming?” Simran asked. “Nope *smiles* i’ll wait in the car okay?” Nikki replied. Simran and Ella headed to the ladies toilet. Ella was about to say anything - “Nikki was upset because she thinks, its her fault. She thinks everything is her fault. When her parents died she spent her 6 months depressed, that’s why her sister will do anything for her. Her sister is over-protected over her…” Simran said. “Oh that’s why…” Ella said while looking on the mirror freshing up. “Come on?” Simran asked after flushing. They went to the parking lot and look for the car. There it is black ford expedition parked. Ella gasped she never knew how rich both of them are. “Dont worry Nikki’s not driving, she have her own driver.” Simran said to relive Ella. They went in. Nikki was sitting there listening to her ipod, singing along and looking out the window. “I already called my sister I said I have a surprise for her” Nikki said with her cheeky smile.

There she was sat in the corner of the airport.Abandoned and alone, this poor girl had been through a wreck. Such a wreck that no other human mind could endure to hear. Depressed,lonely and lost, what could she do? As many hours began to pass by, an elderly lady approached her. “Lovie, what’s wrong? Hello lovie? Hello hello?” The elderly said to Ella. These words flew around Ella’s head like a preditor running to it’s prey. In the end she gave into the lady. “I…I…” All the words began to spin in her head. In the end, the elderly lady sighed,she walked away. “LOST ITEMS HAVE BEEN FOUND ! PLEASE GO TO TERMINAL 2, CHECK IN 37 IF YOU BELIEVE YOU HAVE LOST SOMETHING!” A voice in the intercom said with concern. More questions buzzed around in her head like bumblebees. Should she go fake that she lost something? Should she take the risk? Should she really be that nasty? Sadly, she sighed and thought…” I lost something that I loved , not even something SOMEONE , some PEOPLE ! It’s horrible, I don’t want to hurt someone but the temptation! ” She decided to walk to check in 37 , so she have a little stretch and most importantly, to answer her questions. Minutes past, but finally Ella made it. Her eyes popped out like melons, anymore bigger and they would literally pop out! Pretty gross, but I’m sure you get a picture of her expression. She saw two inconsolable girls, sat on a spiral bench. Ella’s legs began to wobble, she pushed her legs along slowly to the girls. ” Umm..Hey are you too okay?” She asked with curiosity to why they were sad. “Forget about us! Look at the state of you! What happened?” The two girls said in unison. ” Well this is what happened…(she tells the story) ” Ella says with a teardrop. ” Oh my gosh, compared to you my situation is miles less important to yours! You really want a friend,dont you?” One of the girls say. ” Yup, I wish I had one…” Ella sadly said. “How about two?” Said the other girl grinning. ” Really?! ” Ella says with a burst of happiness. ” Yup,I’m Nikki and she is Simran ” Nikki says. ” Nice to meet you! I’m Ella ” Ella replies. ” So what are you guys doing here? ” She asks.
